And everyone who has this hope fixed on Him purifies himself, just as He is pure. 1 John 3:3
You can’t ponder the hope of seeing the savior face to face and not be pure. Somehow we must be in such a state that we can stand our ground. That only happens with our being just as pure as he is. He has seen to that.
