Benediction

24Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, and to make you stand in the presence of His glory blameless with great joy, 25to the only God our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen. Jude 24-25

When you stop to contemplate the decline of civilization as we know it, and you play everything forward, it’s easy to descend into a morass of hopelessness, discouragement, and despair. Perhaps Jude sensed this reaction of his readers and felt the need to snap them back into reality, which is the absolute control of the only genuine God, who is our Savior through Jesus Christ our Lord, in whom resides all glory, all majesty, all dominion, and all authority. With this overwhelming force He has made us (me) to stand in His glorious presence blameless, with great joy, and who is able, through it all, in the here and now, to keep me from stumbling. To put me on a solid foundation, the rock of all ages. He was, is now, and will forever be, the only wise God.
