Keep Casting…

[Read Ecclesiastes 11]

As if we did not know, we are reminded again, we do not know what lies before us. Perhaps it’s  a tree that has fallen in our path, or that our ship has finally come in. What starts out as a nice day can turn gloomy quickly. We are warned here to make hay while the sun shines. If this passage has something to do with charity, give and it will be given to you. If it speaks to industry, then keep many irons in the fire. If in both cases we wisely parcel out the valuable commodity of our time, we can’t possibly go wrong with anything constructive. The point is, we “do not know” what lies ahead. Therefore, don’t sit on your hands or bury our head in the sand. Don’t be caught looking. Go down swinging.
