How to Have an Awesome Day

[Read Ecclesiastes 11:7-10]

_mg_8944_5_6_tonemapped-1If you take time to notice, sunrises are spectacular reminders of who is making this day possible. The day is brought to you by God. Another opportunity to enjoy life in spite of what ills us. As we progress through life, the aches and pains increase, and we are warned that the many dark days are coming. All the more reason to use any remaining vestige of youth to enjoy the day. What blocks our view, however, is vexation that is self-inflicted. We don’t have to grieve and we don’t have to be angry. These are our choices. God is greater than the temporal things that might rob our enjoyment of the day “He hath made.” The license to take things to the limit is restricted by God’s law, but this law is liberating to those who credit their Maker at the rising of the sun.
